Hidden Gems

Alexandra Palace has many gems just waiting to be discovered including its 196 acres of parkland, its great new ice rink, its boating lake, its pitch and putt, its animal enclosure and its incredible views of london to name just a few.

The palace was completed in 1873, however, only sixteen days later it was destroyed by fire. With typical Victorian vigour, the palace was quickly rebuilt and it reopened on 1 May 1875 and its long history as a public centre of entertainment, recreation and education began in earnest.
