Alexandra Palace offers step free access throughout the venue.
We offer 3 accessible parking spaces directly outside the venue entrance (palm court). In addition to this there is a variety of other dedicated accessible parking options across the site with additional spaces in our East Car Park. All spaces are offered on a first come basis. There is no facility to allow for pre-booking of these spaces so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. The East Car Park is approximately 200 meters away from the main entrance and is all on 1 level. On some event days a shuttle bus service is in place from this area to the main entrance; please check the event website for more info.
At concerts we have a box office which is located outside our main entrance, for most other events where tickets are available to purchase the box office will be located in Palm Court which is our main entrance area.
We have 4 accessible toilets onsite – please download this map to see the locations.
Toilet availability is based on what part of the building is in use. All toilets are clearly signposted but if you need assistance please ask one of our security stewards who can direct you to the closest one.
Accessible Toilets at Concerts
The closest toilet to the designated viewing platform is toilet 1. If you have any problems with locating these toilets when you arrive on-site, please ask one of our security stewards who will be able to direct you.
Viewing Platform at Concerts
Alexandra Palace offers a limited capacity to access our dedicated viewing platform. This facility must be purchased at point of sale. This allows for one person at full price and one personal assistant at no extra charge. To gain access to the platform when you arrive please visit the information desk located in palm court, here you will be given your wristbands which will allow you access onto the platform.
The platform is located stage right in the main arena. On the platform we provide chairs for anyone needing them. There is a steward on the platforms at all times if you need any assistant throughout the event.
There are a limited number of wheelchairs that are available on loan for use within Alexandra Palace on a fist come first served basis. We always recommend that these are booked in advance by filling out this form. Once you’ve submitted this form you will receive an email response within 3-5 working days to confirm that we have a chair available for use. In addition to this or if you do not have access to email please call the events team on 0208 365 2121 who can take a manual booking. Alternatively, if the event is less than 5 days away please call this number opposed to emailing.
Wheelchairs can then be picked up from the Info Point in Palm Court when you arrive.
We have 25 Blue Badge holder car parking spaces on site. On certain events this allocation will be increased and managed by our traffic team. These are all used on a first come first served basis. We also have 1200 other car parking spaces on site and on larger events we have free buggies and buses running a service from our car parks to the main entrance. Please ask a traffic marshal when you get to the car park where the pickup points are. Please check the event section of the website to see if this service is running for your event or call us on 0208 365 2121 and we will be able to confirm this.
Our accessible taxi / drop off location is outside our main entrance which our traffic team can direct you too. Please note due to large volumes of people this is not always possible on concerts but our traffic team can advise on arrival.
On concerts, our taxi drop off / pickups is located in the East Car Park. To book your minicab to and from Alexandra Palace call GLH on 020 7490 4222 and quote ref 99968.
Currently the closest underground station to the palace with step free access is Oakwood. You will need to take bus 121 (Turnpike Lane) and then change to the W3 (Finsbury Park) at Wood Green Station. It’s great news that the underground are upgrading Finsbury park station and that in 2018 this station will have step free access. The W3 Bus that stops right outside the venue crosses with other major bus routes in Wood Green and Finsbury Park.

Upon arriving at the venue you will be greeted by our security team who will be able to assist you if you have any concerns regarding your visit. Please contact the venue beforehand if you want to discuss anything or have any specific questions.
Once you have received your ticket from the box office there will be a ticket check and bag search on your way in. This is for your safety and security. At a concert you may be asked to provide identification of your age. Please check the event website for our age restriction policy as this varies per event. It is important that you check this before purchasing your ticket. Please note at concerts no under 12’s are allowed in the building.
Customers with medical requirements
We welcome attendees who need to bring medicines, food or drink to manage medical conditions, or medical equipment. If you have concerns about accessing the venue with these items, please contact us beforehand so that we can inform our security stewards of your arrival.
We always have a medical team available throughout an event; if you need to seek medical assistance or there is an emergency please contact the nearest security steward who can contact a medic for you.
Access to performance
We have a hearing loop located at the information desk in Palm Court. We want to help as much as we can so that you enjoy your experience so anything we can do to help we will.
We do allow assistance dogs on site, although we would recommend that you do contact us on 0208 365 2121 before coming on site so that we can ease your access to the venue. Unfortunately we don’t allow assistance dogs into the main arena at concerts due to concerns for the welfare of the dog.
