Alexandra Park

Managed by the Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust, the 196 acres of parkland surrounding the Palace is open all year round.

The site is a diverse mix of landscapes including woodlands, formal gardens, playing fields, meadows and conservation areas. The park is one of the most important ecological sites in the borough of Haringey. Birds, bats, foxes and invertebrates have all made their home in the trees, plants and wild flora.

Park Facilities

Get Involved!

Volunteers are needed to join the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) for practical tasks in the conservation area. The tasks take place on the second Sunday of the month. To book a place, please telephone the BTCV: 020 7278 4294.

Friends of Alexandra Park. An organisation for all users of the park, their aims are to protect and enhance the site for everyone. For more details contact the Park Manager:

London Wildlife Trust will be providing activities around the park such as pond dipping and tree identification, watch this space for more details.

Management

The Park Manager implements the Alexandra Park Management Plan 2008-2018. This document has been written following the successful completion of the Heritage Lottery Funded Landscape Development Project.

The day-to-day maintenance of the site including grass-cutting, litter collection, play area maintenance and horticultural work is carried out by Veolia Environmental Services (UK).
