‘Alice in Winter Wonderland’ – your Christmas panto on ice

From December 16th – 19th the superb Alexandra Palace ice rink will be transformed into a story book spectacular with the help of Alice and a few of her skating winter wonderland friends.

‘Alice in Winter Wonderland’ is an adaptation of the much loved children’s classic and will feature a cast of 60 Ally Pally Ice Rink and Skating Club members from age six upwards.  The production has been written and choreographed by Alexandra Palace skating coach, Becky Smith who attended the world renowned Sylvia Young Theatre School.

TV funny man Rowland Rivron has created the panto script and will also act as narrator for this sparkling show.

Alice will be played by 17 year old Imogen Welsford who has been skating at Ally Pally since she was just six and has a wealth of skating credits, including the 2011 World Synchronised Skating Championships.  Welsford will be joined by the Mad Hatter (Antoine Alins aged 13), the White Rabbit (Yasmin Tilly aged 12)  and other classic characters straight from the story book pages.

The panto is the perfect winter outing for families, who can also enjoy a meal and spectacular views across London at The Bar and Kitchen at Ally Pally. They can take a walk through the beautiful Park which even has its own herd of deer.  Nothing could be more appropriate for the Christmas season!

Special exclusive school performances of ‘Alice in Winter Wonderland’ will take place on 12th, 13th and 14th December at 12.30 pm.  School show ticket enquiries on 020 8365 4381 or email icerink@alexandrapalace.com
