Alexandra Palace launches security tender

Expression of interest to provide security and stewarding services at live music events

Alexandra Palace Trading Limited (APTL) is looking to tender its provision of security and stewarding services at live music events.

Alexandra Palace first opened in 1873 as ‘The Peoples Palace’ to provide the Victorians with a great environment and recreation centre.

Situated in 196 acres of parkland, with spectacular views over the capital, it now operates as one of the UK’s foremost events spaces with a rich history of live music performance. In the past we have hosted acts such as The Kinks, The Stone Roses and Blur. In more recent history, the Palace has seen performances from Jay Z, Swedish House Mafia and The Flaming Lips.

Alexandra Palace is looking to appoint a provider for the provision of security services at live music events.

Ally Pally is looking for a contractor with excellent track record of delivery at live music events who can demonstrate provision of security services at indoor and outdoor music events with a total audience attendance of over 10,000. Alexandra Palace also requires our contractor to have experience of working with high profile music clients.

Alexandra Palace requires that the successful contractor provide and comply with the following schedule:

• Provide a dedicated Account Manager: Account Manager to have detailed knowledge and extensive experience in Events Industry. Account Manager to have extensive experience at managing large security operations at live music and sports events. Account Manager to take part in Emergency Planning Workshops. Contractor to feed into and become a key partner in Alexandra Palace emergency planning strategy
• Provide relevant documentation: Provide detailed and bespoke crowd management plan for all live music and sports events as required. Contractor to provide detailed risk assessments for all live music and sports events
• Provide professional security service at all live music events; Contractor to manage all aspects of front of house security pre, during and post event open
• Provide a competent and professional staff for Events; Contractor to supply trained and licensed staff in keeping with the nature of the event
• Operate an efficient admin service; Provide all invoices and other required documentation in a timely manner

In addition to the requirements set out above, Alexandra Palace also require that the successful contract has been trading for a minimum of three full years and has a yearly turnover that exceeds £400,000.
