Alexandra Palace’s inspirational marketing manager Charlotte Johnson has been nominated in the exhibition industry’s premier awards as venue marketer of the year.

Charlotte, who has been in post for under a year, has been recognised alongside a selection of the UK’s best venue marketers for excellence in the Exhibition News Awards 2011. In the past twelve months, Charlotte has worked with Ally Pally’s new senior management team to rebrand and reposition the palace across both trade and consumer sectors introducing a new visual identity, suite of marketing tools, website as well as a PR and social media strategy.

The fifth annual Exhibition News Awards will take place at the Business Design Centre, Islington on the 20 May 2011. Charlotte has been shortlisted in a competitive nomination process, with an entry that focussed on her dedication to creating a two way communication channel with the Palace’s stakeholders. It also reflected how she has worked closely with the team to tailor the marketing plan in line with the differing needs of each audience.
