The Great British Tattoo Show, featuring headline acts Zombie Boy & Megan Daniels, overtakes the competition to take the title of the UK’s biggest tattoo convention

After just three years, The Great British Tattoo Show has seen a phenomenal growth in demand for tickets, making this year’s event the biggest tattoo convention the UK has ever seen.

Event organiser Shelley Bond commented: “This immense growth shows the enormous amount of respect this event has gained in a very short space of time, and we would like to thank each and every one of the tattoo artists and ticket holders who have helped to make this happen.”

Earlier this year, having revealed that the world-famous Zombie Boy and Megan Daniels would be appearing at this year’s Great British Tattoo Show, organisers announced: “We’ve gone bigger, harder and better than ever with this year’s show.” And they haven’t disappointed, announcing that there’ll be in excess of 350 (and rising) tattoo artists from all over the globe, 51 (and rising) vendors and trade stalls and The Skin Deep Row, featuring 20 iconic UK tattooists.

There’ll also be live entertainment throughout the weekend (of 24th-25th May), plus artists’ seminars and alternative catwalk shows and a limited edition version of Skin Deep Magazine, featuring a one-off Zombie Boy cover, available to buy at the show.

Lady Gaga’s muse Zombie Boy will be travelling to the show fresh from his appearance in his latest Hollywood blockbuster in which he starred alongside Keanu Reaves, while leading DJ Megan Daniels will provide the soundtrack to the third Great British Tattoo Show.

Following huge demand for tickets for last year’s sell-out Great British Tattoo Show at Alexandra Palace, the event will return to this flagship London venue.

As this year’s Great British Tattoo Show coincides with Skin Deep (the leading international tattoo magazine and the show’s sponsor) celebrating its 20th birthday, organisers will be pulling out all the stops to mark the occasion in style, bringing together the world’s leading tattoo artists and performers for a weekend of revelry.

Taking over the entire Grand Hall at Alexandra Palace, the show will be packed out with hundreds of tattoo artists and many thousands of ink lovers. As well as offering a chance to be tattooed by one of the best in the business and to check out the work of internationally renowned tattoo artists all under one roof, the show will also feature alternative fashion shows, main stage performances, including appearances by leading burlesque artists, live music and custom car displays. There’ll also be a series of tattoo and piercing seminars.

The Great British Tattoo Show is held by the organisers of the world renowned Tattoo Jam, Manchester International Tattoo Show and Tattoo Freeze.

Event Manager Shelley Bond said: “As this show coincides with Skin Deep’s 20th birthday (on Saturday 24th) we’ll be celebrating this momentous occasion with all guns blazing. Expect big names from the tattoo industry, an amazing schedule of main stage entertainment throughout the show and, of course, all the leading artists under one roof for an amazing weekend celebrating 20 epic years of Skin Deep.”

To celebrate the magazine’s 20th birthday, advance copies of Skin Deep will be available to buy from the show at least a week before it goes on sale nationwide.

Building on the success of the organisers’ established calendar of events, The Great British Tattoo Show will bring together world-class artists, performers and attractions for what promises to be a very memorable weekend!
