We have made great strides in recent years but there is a lot of work still to do.
The biggest task is restoring the building. Around 40% of Alexandra Palace is classed as derelict, and it is the largest building on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk register.
The East Wing Restoration Project is bringing the most historic areas of the Palace back to life, including the Victorian Theatre and Television Studios.
When the East Wing re-opens, we will have brought many of these derelict spaces back to life.
