The New Decade is a 5-week online photography project for young people aged 16-24 led by artist Alejandra Carles-Tolra. Under the theme of The New Decade participants will get the opportunity to use photography as a vehicle to reflect on the past year’s events and to make creative work in response.
In each session, participants will learn and experiment with different photography techniques, gain inspiration from contemporary artists and collaborate with each other creatively. At the end of the project, a selection of work will be displayed in an exhibition at Alexandra Palace.
The goal of this project is to provide a space where young people can be creative and social, and a platform where their voice and ideas can be heard and seen.
This free photography project will take place in workshops on Zoom. The date of the exhibition is still tbc. For more info or to register your spot email creativenetwork@alexandrapalace.com.
