Alexandra Palace’s Ice Rink will be transformed into a world frozen by the Snow Queen this Christmas.
This original production brings together elements of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale ‘The Snow Queen’ and promises to be Ally Pally’s most popular Christmas panto yet.
Jeremy Walton, Alexandra Palace’s Ice Rink Manager says: “Following the success of last year’s Little Mermaid on Ice production, we are delighted to be able to bring back once again our popular panto on ice.
“Alexandra Palace’s Christmas panto has been a popular feature on our annual ice rink calendar for the past 23 years and is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the local talent who regularly train on our rink all year long in a professionally run amateur production.
“This year’s panto has been co-written by our own ice skating coach Becky Smith and local celebrity Rowland Rivron and will star the Palace’s talented local skaters who are currently busy rehearsing ready for the panto’s launch in December.”
The Snow Queen on Ice is a story about a princess who goes on a journey to save her sister who because of her magical powers covered the kingdom in ice.
Aided by her friends, the princess needs to battle evil wizardess to save her sister and prevent the kingdom from being frozen for eternity.
This truly festive family affair will run from 15 – 22 December and is expected to sell out fast.
