The ice rink is now open, with strict social distancing and safety measures in operation. Please note that covid-19 guidelines mean that you can only attend the ice rink with people from the same household or social support bubble.
We have put a lot of time into making sure you can enjoy your visit in a covid-secure way. Read about the measures we have in place, and other information you might want to know about your visit, in our FAQs.
Skating is a year-round activity at Ally Pally, but the ice rink feels particularly merry at Christmas time and gives an opportunity for a full-on-festive day out. Book onto one of our hour long public skate sessions every weekend in December and throughout the school holidays and enjoy whizzing around the rink to your favourite Christmas tunes. You can always head to the Ice Café afterwards for a Mulled Wine, Cinnamon Latte or Gingerbread Muffin. We also have our Christmas Ice Discos running every evening between 19th December and 3rd January. And if you fancy taking some lessons join us at our Coffee Morning Drop Ins every Wednesday morning with a festive coffee included in the price! To book simply Select a Date below.
To book a general skate simply select a date from the navigation to see what sessions are available on the day that you would like to visit. Sessions last 60 minutes. Due to Covid-19 you must pre-book online – we are not accepting payment on the door for public sessions or courses at this time. Please read our FAQs before you book your skating session as we’re doing things a little differently now.
Please note that during the school holidays opening times may change.
Please note that during the school holidays prices may change and peak pricing is applied to weekdays as well as weekends.
Is your little one not quite ready to take to the ice alone just yet? Why not purchase one of our skate aids to help. Skating aids are sold online only and are subject to availability. They are available on all public sessions (excluding disco sessions) for one hour at a time.
Alexandra Palace is run by a charity for the benefit of everyone. It’s loved by many people: as a historic landmark, ice rink, legendary gig venue, exhibition centre, theatre, park with panoramic views and more. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic our income has fallen catastrophically and our survival is at risk. Your support can help: as a charity, every £1 we receive is reinvested back into the organisation and will help us get back on our feet.
