A fun and engaging structured session for 2 to 4 years olds and parent/carer exploring themes with creative props, adapting to meet the needs of the children.
Qualified level 6 dance teacher and ex-professional dancer Rhona leads this imaginative movement session. Children can move, explore and play around an EYFS structured framework. The class will develop their coordination, balance and parent-bond in a fun, safe environment, without the formal boundaries and restrictions of specific dance genres.
Mature movers – every Tuesday 11:00 – 11:45 £8 per person
Focusing on the enjoyment that can come from dance and music, the group is guided through simple routines and exercises set to an inspiring soundtrack. We draw on influences from ballet, contemporary and musical theatre techniques, but without the formal technical requirements of these genres. The class is learner focused, and individualised to be inclusive and accessible for all physical conditions or restrictions. Movements are adaptable to be chair based or supported standing if required. Participants will notice improvements in balance, coordination and suppleness by joining in with this sociable and fun dance class.

Throughout 2019, Alexandra Palace is inviting all children in and around Haringey to take part in the Little Inventors Let your imagination fly challenge! The top ideas will be brought to life and exhibited at Alexandra Palace on Inventors Day on 9th November. More info

Creative Writing Workshops for Adults - Richard III - 21st March -11-13:00 – £18 per person.
Introduction to Alexandra Palace Theatre and the themes from Shakespeare’s Richard III play. Session will include a series of free flow creative writing exercises which focus on Alexandra Palace Theatre and themes from the current performance.
Creative Writes works with writers at all levels, in mixed groups and focus on the process and joy of writing itself
Biblio-Buzz Children’s book awards- 2nd April – 10-15:00
Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust and Haringey Library Services have collaborated to deliver the award aimed at nine to 12 year olds across the borough, inspiring them to read and vote for their favourite book.
The Award Ceremony will be hosted by Michael Rosen, one of Britain’s best-loved writers and performance poets.
Recycled Instruments Family Jam – 6th April 11am-12.30 or 1.30-3pm £5 per ticket .
Bring the whole family and Invent make and play your own musical instrument at this Groundswell Arts ‘Family Jam’ with artist and instrument maker Giles Leaman. Best suited for children between 3-8 years

Come to Ally Pally and help to decorate a huge Easter Egg within a day. We’ll use bright coloured papers, yarn and other objects to create a stunning decorated egg. Pop in at any time between 10 and 3 to add your little bit of colour and sparkle.

As the beautiful park at Alexandra Palace shoots back into life for Spring, we celebrate by creating our very own Park in a Pot to grow at home. We invite budding gardeners to join us for an hour of making, planting and growing, with something very special to take home at the end. Hahahopscotch was founded by landscape historian Linden Groves to share her enthusiasm for parks and gardens with their youngest users, and what better way to do this than by making a garden of our own?

Creative Writing Workshops – 6 week course £108.
11-13:00 – 9th May, 16th May, 23rd May, 6th June, 13th June and 20th June.
In this series of 6 week workshops, we will explore the incredible history and stories of Alexandra Palace and Theatre. You will be guided through a series of free flow creative writing exercises by Nichola from Creative Writes, using a range of prompts and archive material. We will explore story, character and develop our descriptive writing. You do not need to have any previous creative writing experience. There is no critique on the writing. Groups are small and supportive, with a maximum of 12 people in each group. Open to anyone aged 18 & over.

Adventurellers Brooke Conway and Hannah Mathieson performs and delights children in an interactive action-packed adventure through an enchanted forest where a miserable witch has been up to mischief. Come and decorate your very own canvas tote bag. You will have the opportunity to learn paint techniques and experiment with design. We will be using fabric paints, sparkles, ribbons and and wide variety of materials to make your very own stylish fashion statement. Don’t worry if you can’t draw, there will be stencils available for you to use.
Jewellery Making for Beginners 6th June £17 per person 19:00-21:00
In this workshop for adults you will learn how to make earrings and bracelets using four simple tools. During the workshop you will have help with designing and making while using a variety of glass beads and silver plate and gilt findings to create jewellery that you will love to wear.
