Public transport

*From Monday 22 August – Friday 26 August the stretch of Alexandra Palace Way immediately in front of the Palace will be closed to enable essential improvements to the speed bumps. This will mean a closure for through-traffic only and the W3 bus will be on diversion. The road will remain open as normal either side of the closure. The East Court car park will be open throughout too. Pedestrians will be able to use the park and pavement as normal.

By rail

We have our own train station fittingly called Alexandra Palace Station. It is located at the Wood Green entrance to the Park. A regular train service with Great Northern runs direct from Moorgate, through Highbury & Islington or from Kings Cross, changing at Finsbury Park.

By tube

Wood Green is the nearest underground station on the Piccadilly Line. (journey time is 20 minutes from Piccadilly Circus). Exit Wood Green Station and go to bus stop A to pick up the W3 bus up the hill to Alexandra Palace.

By bus

The W3 bus runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenham to Alexandra Palace Ice Rink or Alexandra Palace Palm Court.

The East car park is open most days for car parking. On event days and at busy times, we may open other car parks on site. Please follow signs and directions from our staff and do not park your vehicle anywhere except in designated car parks.

We suggest a donation of £3 per vehicle to help us cover the costs of looking after the Palace and Park.

Our outdoor events typically require us to close our car parks. Do check parking availability ahead of your visit by contacting our team at

Accessible Parking

There are disabled access parking spaces specifically for blue badge holders. There are dedicated accessible bays in the Grove Car park (a short walk up a slight hill) and the East Car Park. There is a drop off point outside the Palm Court Entrance via the west slip road where staff will assist with directions. Spaces are available on a strictly first come, first served basis.

Local Parking

Please be considerate to our neighbours: do not park illegally on the streets and please leave the area quietly.
