We have our own train station fittingly called Alexandra Palace Station. It is located at the Wood Green entrance to the Park. A regular train service runs direct from Moorgate, through Highbury & Islington or from Kings Cross, changing at Finsbury Park.
Wood Green is the nearest underground station on the Piccadilly Line. (journey time is 20 minutes from Piccadilly Circus). Exit Wood Green Station and go to bus stop A to pick up the W3 bus up the hill to Alexandra Palace.
The W3 bus runs from Finsbury Park and Tottenham to Alexandra Palace Ice Rink or Alexandra Palace Palm Court.
From Friday 22 May, in order to prevent the illegal & unsafe parking onsite we’ll reopening selected car parks (which have been shut due to the Palace being closed during the Covid-19 lockdown).
As a charity it costs us money to open and operate the car parks. We are closed due to Covid-19 and don’t have any income. To cover these costs we are suggesting a small donation of £3 to park, as a temporary measure.
Please note that reopening the car parks is a response to the current situation and is not part of longer term parking proposals for the site.
If you would like to find out more about the support we need to operate the Park and Palace please visit our fundraising pages.
There are disabled access parking spaces specifically for blue badge holders. There are dedicated accessible bays in the Grove Car park (a short walk up a slight hill) and the East Car Park. There is a drop off point outside the Palm Court Entrance via the west slip road where staff will assist with directions. Spaces are available on a strictly first come, first served basis.
Please be considerate to our neighbours: do not park illegally on the streets and please leave the area quietly.
We’ve added what3words addresses to all points of interest and entrances around the Park and Palace. Find and navigate to each precise location by entering its what3words address (///word.word.word), including the dots, into the free what3words app.

Alexandra Palace is run by a charity for the benefit of everyone. It’s loved by many people: as a historic landmark, ice rink, legendary gig venue, exhibition centre, theatre, park with panoramic views and more. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic our income has fallen catastrophically and our survival is at risk. Your support can help: as a charity, every £1 we receive is reinvested back into the organisation and will help us get back on our feet.
