A group of people look shocked on the left, with a neon sign saying "Time Travel is Dangerous! Film & Fayre" on the right. A lightning-lit bumper car is nearby. A diverse group of seven people stands in a line indoors, above them a banner reads "British Research Engineering and Scientific Thought Society." They are posing confidently, with two seated in a modified bumper car; colorful flags are hung above. The scene conveys a quirky and humorous tone.

Celebrating the release of Muswell Hill sci-fi comedy Time Travel Is Dangerous! Join us at Alexandra Palace Theatre for an all-day festival featuring stalls from local sellers, live music, props and costumes from the film, special guests and more.

There will be matinee and evening screenings of the film, with filmmaker & cast Q&As following each screening.

The bonkers mock-documentary follows real-life best friends Ruth and Megan who run a vintage shop in Muswell Hill. When they stumble across a time machine, they embark on trips to the past, ‘borrowing’ items to sell in the present. They don’t want to change history, or rob banks, they just want to find a nice lamp… without getting sucked into the hellish time-space vortex that is the Unreason. They soon come to appreciate that Time Travel Is Dangerous.

Ruth Syratt and Megan Stevenson play themselves (in their real Muswell Hill vintage shop ChaChaCha) alongside comedy legends including Johnny Vegas, Mark Heap, Sophie Thompson, Jane Horrocks, Tony Way, Brian Bovell and narrated by Stephen Fry.
