Hive Case Study

Client – Hive via Sketch Agency

Location – South Terrace

To celebrate the solar eclipse, Hive invited guests to our South Terrace for a special viewing party. A striking, solar-powered recreation of Stonehenge – symbolizing innovation, sustainability, and the power of the sun – was constructed opposite the Palace’s Rose Window on 29 March 2025.

The large-scale installation, nicknamed Solar-Henge, stood nearly 5 metres tall and stretched over 20 metres wide. It was created to challenge the common misconception that solar panels require direct sunlight to function effectively.

Visitors relaxed on Hive-branded deck chairs and picnic blankets, complete with specially designed eclipse viewing glasses to safely witness the astronomical phenomenon. To enhance the experience, guests enjoyed breakfast baps served in charcoal buns from a branded food truck, accompanied by a carefully curated music playlist – all powered by Solar-Henge.

The activation highlighted a core value shared by both Hive and Ally Pally: sustainability. The energy generated by Solar-Henge, which powered the food truck and speakers, amplified Hive’s brand engagement and sparked onlookers’ interest in learning more about solar power and how we can all live more sustainably.
