Alexandra Palace Children’s Book Awards 2022 – the finale!

Well, that was a lot of fun!

Friday, 25 March saw the finale of Biblio-Buzz 2022, the Alexandra Palace Children’s Book Awards, when 500 young people from schools across Haringey descended on the Palace.

The Award challenges the young people, aged 9-12, to read six selected texts, complete challenges, take part in workshops, vote for their favourite book and, finally, meet the authors!

Biblio-Buzz is a pillar of our Creative Learning programme, which aims to educate and support people of all ages across our community. In this case, using the power of literature to reach and inspire young creative minds! Biblio-Buzz is a partnership project between the Palace and Haringey Library Service, librarians, schools, professional authors, publishers and local books shops. A true example of what can be achieved when we work together.

Here’s an overview of how it all went down at the Awards, from those that were there…
