The Bauer Media Awards 2019 was a fun corporate event with a seated lunch catering over 1,700 guests. The use of the Great Hall, which can accommodate up to 5,000 for a sit down meal, meant that there was still plenty of space left for the production agency to get creative.
The client and production agency decided to change the format of a traditional awards ceremony and opted for an in the round set up with a central stage bringing the guests right into the heart of the action.
The theme was Copacabana with inflatables galore. Alongside a string of celebrity performances, the event integrated the Palace’s heritage into proceedings, with the iconic Willis Organ belting out Barry Manilow’s famous hit!
The in-house Ally Pally Catering and Event Management Team ensured the smooth sailing of the event with tight turnaround times between the awards and performances.
“Alexandra Palace couldn’t have been a more perfect choice as the venue for the 2019 Bauer media awards luncheon and party.
“The forward thinking venue team that we worked with were ultimately professional, highly experienced and quite simply made working with them totally effortless. We always knew where we stood with them and if they could help with an unusual request they did. We felt as though they were part of our team and that the success of the event meant just as much to them as it did to me, my team and of course my client.
“Needless to say, the event went spectacularly well. The venue, with its perfect configuration of space, both internal and external, coupled to its team of ‘can do’ people made working there an absolute joy. We look forward to working there again soon.”
