Our 150th Birthday Party!!

Thank you so, so much to the thousands of you who joined us for our 150th birthday party, held across the Park and Palace on a sunny, balmy, funky Saturday (27 May).

We had a lot of fun (huge understatement), and it was great to see so many of you having an amazing time too!

The big 1-5-0 is a special anniversary. Another landmark moment for our historic Palace. It was a chance to open up all areas of the Park and Palace for everyone to explore. In true Ally Pally style, we also had a good old knees up too in the sunshine.

There was live music. There were DJs. There was street food and drinks. There was dancing, a silent disco in the park, talks from experts on the Palace’s history of film and tv and tours of the BBC studios, the basements and the old train line. We had a family rave courtesy of our friends at Big Fish Little Fish, which featured a special set from Matt McBriar from Bicep! Over 140 craftspeople took part in Made in Tottenham‘s Makers Market in the Great Hall, whilst next door their was ice skating, ice dance and hockey demos and one classic Club De Fromage disco on ice. The Theatre hosted cinema. Our Creative Learning team, together with our partners, hosted face painting, arts and crafts, storytelling, drumming workshops and even a birthday card making station. To cap it off, All Saint Mel Blatt provided a headline DJ set underneath sunny skies.

Thank you again to all who visited or contributed to the event, especially our volunteers who, as ever, went above and beyond. We hope to see you again very soon. In the meantime, enjoy some of the highlights below.

And here’s just a few of your posts!
