Children and young people under 18 years old
Big Schools (SEND) is designed to equip children and young people (with special education needs and disabilities) with the knowledge and skills needed to help them bridge key educational transitions in their lives. Whether they are in primary education getting ready to transition into big school, heading off to college or university or a school leaver entering the big school of life – the Big Schools (SEND) programme is always there to support and guide!
Ally Pally teams up once again with ParaDance UK for the second year running to deliver a fun packed six-weeks of online resources; including films, info packs, games and activities to get children and young people with special education needs and disabilities dancing and being creative throughout the Autumn.
Each week we’ll release new learning guides that provide step-by-step support for participating groups to learn how to make dance routines, develop choreographic skills, make props, design sets, costumes and make-up. So watch this space for updates, and acquire all the skills needed to mount a dynamic and dazzling show.
The programme concludes with a show-stopping online Gala performance. Showcasing the participating groups dance performances with a special invited guest, speakers and performances – date to be confirmed.

Alexandra Palace is run by a charity for the benefit of everyone. It’s loved by many people: as a historic landmark, ice rink, legendary gig venue, exhibition centre, theatre, park with panoramic views and more. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic our income has fallen catastrophically and our survival is at risk. Your support can help: as a charity, every £1 we receive is reinvested back into the organisation and will help us get back on our feet.
