We are delighted to welcome Haringey Music Service to its new permanent base here at Alexandra Palace, marking an exciting new chapter for music education across Haringey.
This long-term partnership provides access to our rehearsal, performance and learning spaces, including the Transmitter Hall and Creativity Pavilion, enabling Haringey Music Service to expand its programmes, strengthen SEND provision and create more progression routes into ensembles and youth orchestras.
After two years of working together, this new agreement formalises our partnership and opens up wider opportunities for collaboration, from joint funding bids to larger events and direct connections with the wider music industry.

To celebrate the launch, the Leader of the Council, Cllr Peray Ahmet, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Families, Cllr Zena Brabazon, as well as officers and key stakeholders joined us for the Schools Christmas Carol Concert here at Alexandra Palace on 10 December 2025. More than 120 pupils, including 19 from Haringey primary schools, performed and showcased the energy, talent and diversity of Haringey’s young voices.
CCllr Zena Brabazon said: “Relocating Haringey Music to Alexandra Palace is about more than a change of location – it’s about opening doors for our young people.
“Ally Pally is a place where culture, history, and creativity meet, and it will give our musicians the space and platform they deserve. This move strengthens our vision of making music central to community life and ensuring every child has the chance to thrive through creativity.”
Emma Dagnes OBE, Chief Executive of Alexandra Palace said; “As a Charitable Trust, Alexandra Palace is committed to providing creative, cultural and learning opportunities for all. Deeping our partnership with Haringey Music Service strengthens that mission and supports the development of young musicians across the borough and beyond.
“With our Creative Learning Programme and the BBC Concert Orchestra, our associate Orchestra, who rehearse and perform here regularly, Haringey Music Service adds to a thriving hub of creativity, and we are delighted to welcome them permanently into our community.”
Haringey Music Service has long been recognised for excellence, with ensembles and choirs performing at prestigious venues and events including the Royal Albert Hall, BBC Proms, and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as well as touring internationally. The new base at Alexandra Palace will build on this legacy, offering a home that matches the ambition and talent of Haringey’s young musicians.
It will also enhance educational and creative opportunities for local children and young people, extend the Palace’s Creative Learning Programme and strengthen Alexandra’s Palace’s role as an inclusive cultural hub and key contributor to music and education across North London.
