Enid Blyton’s classic seaside tale Malory Towers comes to Alexandra Palace Theatre this July. Directed and adapted by acclaimed theatre-maker Emma Rice, this inventive co-production promises high jinks, high drama and plenty of girl power – all brought to life with sensational live music.

Malory Towers follows the story of Darrell Rivers as she begins life at a girls’ boarding school in post-war Britain. Smart, strong-willed, and quick to anger, Darrell navigates friendships, rivalries, and school adventures. From classroom and dorm life to dramatic rescues and school plays.
Based on Enid Blyton’s much-loved book series, the stage adaptation blends humour, heart, and a sense of adventure. Audiences will meet characters from the books like the mischievous Alicia, shy Mary Lou, kind Sally Hope, and the difficult Gwendoline Lacey.
This production brings the spirit of the classic stories to life for a new generation, with themes of friendship, self-discovery, and growing up.
