A staple of any Christmas film watch list, Elf is the story of Buddy (Will Ferrell), a regular-sized man who was raised as an elf by Santa Claus (Edward Asner). When the news is broken to Buddy that he’s not a real elf, he heads to New York City in search of his birth father Walter Hobbs (James Caan). Hobbs, on Santa’s naughty list for being a heartless jerk, has no idea that Buddy was born. Buddy, meanwhile, experiences the delights of New York City as only an elf can. When Walter’s relationship with Buddy interferes with his job, he is forced to re-evaluate his priorities…
