Park up at our drive-in theatre and find yourself immersed in the modern day bohemia of London. When the struggling writer Rodolfo meets his neighbour Mimì, it’s love at first sight. But as the youthful couple and their friends indulge in life’s pleasures, their happiness is quickly dashed by the realities of their precarious living situation.
This new 90 minute production of Puccini’s tragic romance is performed live – both on stage and on the ground – so you’ll find yourself at the heart of the action.
Featuring members of the award-winning ENO Orchestra and Chorus, we have two incredible casts of principal singers alternating throughout the run. The raised stage has large screens relaying the performance, and we will be using microphones for high quality stereo sound both outside and inside your car, so you can hear Puccini’s beautiful score.
If you don’t have a car, you can book an Uber Box – a static car that adheres to social distancing – or come on a bicycle.

Alexandra Palace is run by a charity for the benefit of everyone. It’s loved by many people: as a historic landmark, ice rink, legendary gig venue, exhibition centre, theatre, park with panoramic views and more. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic our income has fallen catastrophically and our survival is at risk. Your support can help: as a charity, every £1 we receive is reinvested back into the organisation and will help us get back on our feet.
