Pink the Rink: Haringey Huskies V Peterborough Phantoms

7 Dec 2019

This season the Huskies have joined forces with the Alexandra Wylie Tower Foundation (AWTF). AWTF was set up in the name of Alexandra Wylie, a bright and charming 17 year old who sadly passed away in 2010 from an incurable form of cancer. Allie was a keen ice skater and spent much time skating at Ally Pally.

The foundation aims to keep her memory alive by making it possible for underprivileged young people to achieve and cultivate their dreams through involvement in extra-curricular activities which can broaden their horizons and help them achieve their dreams.

AWTF already have a close relationship with the ice rink and, with their passion to help young people and families, the Huskies knew that they were the perfect charity to team up with this season.

AWTF provides food for the foodbank at Ringcross Community Centre and holiday food parcels for struggling families in London.

On Saturday 7 December, please join us for a special Huskies match dedicated to AWTF featuring ice performances throughout the evening from Ally Pally skaters. If you’re able to, please bring along one of the following food items as a donation to the food bank:

  • pasta, rice
  • pasta sauce
  • tinned tomatoes
  • baked beans
  • tuna
  • corned beef
  • cereal
  • long life milk

Thank you from AWTF and Haringey Huskies for your support!
