They’ll be discussing Huma’s latest novel, Playing Games, and Sara’s novel, The Twilight Garden, as well as talking about their inspiration, roads to publication and going behind the scenes of their writing process.

Playing Games is a gorgeous, tender and intimate story of two sisters caught up in the joys and pains of art and family, a poignant story of love and betrayal. The Twilight Garden is a life-affirming novel about friendship, connection, community and gardening.

Sara Nisha Adams is a writer and editor. She is the author of The Reading List, her uplifting and much celebrated best-selling debut novel about the joys of reading and how books bring people together. The Reading List was a finalist in the Goodreads Choice Awards for Fiction and longlisted for The Diverse Book Awards. She is now writing her third novel.

Huma Qureshi is the award-winning author of four books. Her warm and uplifting memoir, How We Met: A Memoir of Love and Other Misadventures was shortlisted for the Books Are My Bag Indie Book Awards and selected as a Stylist pick for best non-fiction 2021. Her short story collection Things We Do Not Tell The People We Love, a breathtaking collection of stories about our most intimate relationships was nominated for both The Jhalak Prize and the Edge Hill Prize, while her story The Jam Maker won the Harper’s Bazaar short story prize. Playing Games, her debut novel, was published to critical acclaim, selected as one of the Daily Mail’s Books of the Year and one of Marie Claire’s Best Books of 2023.
