Prof. Ian Christie, Birkbeck College, and curator Bryony Dixon, British Film Institute, discuss silent films from the first studios around North London, which were likely screened in the Theatre at Alexandra Palace in the early 1900s. Also covering Ally Pally connections with the father of British film, Robert Paul, who shot our Switchback Railway in 1898, and other scenes in the surrounding Park.
