Fasten your seatbelts and unleash your imagination: the world-famous Red Bull Soapbox Race returns to Alexandra Palace in June 2026.
On Saturday 20 June 2026, Britain’s most fearless and creative teams will design, build and race their own homemade Soapbox carts down the iconic downhill course, powered by nothing but gravity and courage.
60 teams will be judged on creativity, speed and showmanship, tackling signature obstacles and unpredictable twists that promise chaos, comedy and unforgettable moments.

Age restriction
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. All persons must have a valid ticket to attend the event (excluding children under 2 years old).
Tickets
Tickets can only be purchased online in advance of the event.
About the event
The event is outdoor, all-standing & located on a hill.
Transport
Train: Alexandra Palace has its own mainline train station! This is the closest public transport route to the event entrance.
Tube: Wood Green tube station is closed on 20 June. Please use alternative routes.
Bus: the W3 bus is on diversion – details are on this map. The closest stop to Alexandra Palace is Park Road (MB), with the event entrance an approximate 10-15 minute walk away.
Car: there is no car parking available.
Access ticket holders: the nearest step free train station is Finsbury Park. The W3 bus – which runs from Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace – is on diversion, details are on this map. The closest stop to Alexandra Palace is Park Road (MB), with the event entrance an approximate 800 metres away or alternatively use one of the shuttle buses.
