After a landmark year of 60th anniversary celebrations, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club is proud to present its inaugural one-day festival, Milestones. We’re bringing the best and most exciting live acts and DJs from the world of jazz to the stunning location of Alexandra Palace, London.
Arguably one of the most influential jazz musicians to lead the scene in the US, saxophonist Kamasi Washington will headline the main stage at the festival for his only UK performance this year. Joining Washington on the day will be Mercury Award nominated ten-piece band Seed Ensemble. Pianist Reuben James will be hosting a very special Late Late Show slot featuring vocalist Vula (Basement Jaxx, Natalie Williams’ Soul Family) and friends, and trumpeter Mark Kavuma will be the lead on a tribute to Milestones, the eponymous album by Miles Davis. Also confirmed for the Funky Nation stage are DJ sets from Femi Koleoso (Ezra Collective), Women in Jazz and Mike Vitti (Mi-Soul Radio).
The second wave of acts joins a host of previously announced names acclaimed US bassist/composer Marcus Miller, UK legends Courtney Pine & Omar and pioneering jazz/funk band Incognito.
As well as the world-class live music, enjoy delicious street food, craft ales and cocktails whilst enjoying panoramic views over the city – plus a special VIP area for Ronnie Scott’s members.
