Unfortunately Table Top Gaming 2021 at Alexandra Palace has been cancelled. The following is a statement from the event organisers:
Claire Ingram, publisher of both Tabletop Gaming and Miniature Wargames magazines, comments on the decision:
“It is simply not possible to offer an experience that really reflects the enthusiasm and love that the community has for its hobby within the likely social distancing restrictions. A huge part of the weekend is about meeting up and playing games, and it is very unlikely that we will be able to provide that in a safe and satisfying way.
“Cancelling the show is a tough decision. But we owe it to our readers and the community as a whole to put on the best show we possibly can. We would love to think the hobby could return to normal by September, but with the restrictions that will still be in place at that time, it won’t be possible to do it justice.”
The event, brought to you from the teams behind Tabletop Gaming and Miniature Wargames, was scheduled to go ahead at Alexandra Palace London 25-26th September 2021.
The 2019 live show brought thousands of gamers together for a true celebration of all things gaming, including demos, stalls, tournaments, workshops and wargaming. We’ll be back in 2022 bigger and better.
In 2020 the usual live show was replaced with Virtual Tabletop Gaming Live – a weekend of video interviews, playthroughs, announcements that totalled over 37 hours over 72 individual videos. The virtual show is set to return on the 27-28th of March 2021 in a Spring Showcase.
Until then, join us on tabletopgaming.co.uk to find out more about our virtual events, read the latest gaming news, and pick up a copy of the magazines.
Those with tickets to the event will have their tickets rolled on to next year by default, although refunds are available.
More information on other events from Tabletop Gaming and Miniature Wargames will be released in the coming months.
