The Christmas Pig: A Family Event with J.K. Rowling

Join one of our finest storytellers as she launches her new children’s book The Christmas Pig – a heart-warming, page-turning adventure about one child’s love for his most treasured thing, and how far he will go to find it.

Jack loves his childhood toy, Dur Pig. DP has always been there for him, through good and bad. Until one Christmas Eve something terrible happens – DP is lost. But Christmas Eve is a night for miracles and lost causes, a night when all things can come to life… even toys. And Jack’s newest toy – the Christmas Pig (DP’s annoying replacement) – has a daring plan:  Together they’ll embark on a magical journey to seek something lost, and to save the best friend Jack has ever known…

J.K. Rowling invites you inside the world of her extraordinary imagination, in this very special one-off book event. In conversation with bestselling author and television presenter Konnie Huq, she will be joined on stage by the Audible audiobook ‘voice’ of her new book’s hero, Rocco Padden, and by illustrator Jim Field, who will show children how to draw the Christmas Pig.

This event is recommended for families and children aged 7+ . All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult tickets (£17.00) include a copy of The Christmas Pig by J.K. Rowling (RRP £20.00), which can be collected at the venue on the night. Additional copies of The Christmas Pig can be added at ticket checkout or alternatively will be available to buy on the night.

J.K. Rowling will be signing copies of The Christmas Pig after the event – one book per attendee.

There will be a chance for audience members to submit a question to J.K. Rowling which may be read out and responded to at the event. Details to follow.

Please note this event is being recorded by the publisher for marketing and publicity purposes, including use on the author’s and venue’s social channels and websites.

A one-seat gap will be left between each group booking. Further information on our COVID-19 measures can be found here, and will be sent to ticket holders in advance.
