Watch every moment unfold on our massive indoor screen at the Palace, where we’ll be building the atmosphere with football anthems, singalongs and pre-match classics before kick-off.
Expect ice-cold pints, incredible food from some of London’s best street food vendors, and an electric crowd ready to roar England on as they look to banish the ghosts of tournaments past and move one step closer to lifting the trophy.

What time do doors open and when is last entry?
Doors to the screening open at 6pm.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 8pm.
We recommend arriving early to allow time for entry and to enjoy the pre-match atmosphere.
Please note that timings are subject to change in line with FIFA scheduling.
Where is the screening?
In the West Hall, one of Alexandra Palace’s indoor spaces.
Get to the screening
The event takes place in the West Hall. There are two ways to access the site:
- East Entrance – via Alexandra Palace Station/Wood Green side
- West Entrance – via Village Gate/Muswell Hill/Crouch End side
Whichever route you take, please make your way to the Palm Court entrance, where all security searches and ticket checks will take place. Follow steward directions on arrival, and they will guide you to the Palm Court.
TRAIN/TUBE: We strongly recommend travelling to and from the event by public transport.
- Alexandra Palace train station (10-minute walk via the East Entrance). Please note that the train station is expected to be busy after the event. We advise customers to use alternative routes home where possible to avoid queues.
- Wood Green Underground station (15–20-minute walk via the East Entrance).
BUS: The 184 bus runs from Wood Green to Alexandra Palace train station but will not be operating post-show. The W3 bus will be on diversion – check out this map to find the closest stops to Ally Pally. Please plan your journey to and from the event ahead of time using tfl.gov.uk.
CAR: Aside from accessible parking for Blue Badge holders only, there is no public parking available in or around Alexandra Palace. We strongly advise leaving the car at home and travelling by public transport.
Alexandra Palace Way will be closed to facilitate the event.
What football shirts & colours are permitted?
England shirts and England colours are welcome at the football screening. No other national team colours, football shirts or club football shirts will be permitted within the screening area. Guests not complying with this policy may be refused entry to the screening area.
Bag policy
We encourage you to attend this event without bags. Should you need to bring one for your essentials, it needs to be as small as possible.
For security reasons and in line with industry best practice, visitors are only permitted to bring one small bag into the venue, which must be no bigger than:
- Height 30cm (11.8 inches)
- Width 20cm (7.9 inches)
- Depth 10cm (3.9 inches)
Any bags that do not meet these requirements will be directed to our cloakroom.
Exemptions apply for medical purposes, but we ask that you contact us in advance if this applies to you via access@alexandrapalace.com.
What happens if the world cup match is delayed or postponed?
As this is a live FIFA World Cup 2026 broadcast, all match timings are determined by FIFA and are outside Alexandra Palace’s control.
While we expect the match to kick off as scheduled, weather and other unforeseen circumstances at the host venues may cause delays.
We can accommodate an official delay of up to two hours.
If FIFA delays kick-off beyond two hours, the screening will not take place at the venue. In these circumstances, screening upgrade tickets will be refunded upon request, and we will make every effort to notify ticket holders as early as possible.
If the match starts but is subsequently delayed, suspended or postponed, any refunds or partial refunds will be considered at Alexandra Palace’s discretion, taking into account the circumstances and the proportion of the event that has taken place.
All event details, including timings, are subject to change, delay, postponement or cancellation.
Alexandra Palace accepts no liability for any travel, accommodation, hospitality or other costs incurred in connection with this booking, regardless of any change to, technical issues affecting, delay of, postponement of or cancellation of the screening or match.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes – the Football Screening is 18+ only.
Food & drink?
Yes, there will be plenty of festival bars and street food traders.
Accessibility
We have a range of services in place for people with access requirements:
- Accessible toilets and a fully equipped changing places facility, Accessible toilets will require a radar key.
- Companion tickets available and limited tables available for wheelchair users
- Limited Blue Badge parking (book in advance by emailing visitor.services@alexandrapalace.com as there is only a limited number of accessible spaces)
- Step free access and accessible entrance: wheelchair users should enter via Village Gate/Muswell Hill side and follow the accessible route into the event site.
- Wheelchair hire (please pre-book)
- Accessible Bar service – lowered bar counter service.
- Medication – If you require to bring food to the event for medical purposes please email access@alexandrapalace.com in advance of your visit.
- Food – Bringing food is not permitted. However, If you require to bring food/soft drink to the event for medical purposes please email access@alexandrapalace.com in advance of your visit.
- On the day support – The Visitor Services team will be present at the screening. Please contact them directly if you require any additional information or support.
