Haringey is getting ready for an experience like no other as the Haringey Feast, a celebration of the borough’s rich and diverse cultural scene, comes to the Palace this Sunday (19 November).
Haringey Feast is a unique event which will see Haringey’s creators, cultural organisations and residents come together around three giant tables to mark everything creative our borough has to offer.
Sunday’s showpiece will feature over 200 musicians and performers – compered by The Voice winner Jermain Jackman – which participants will enjoy alongside nourishing soups made using recipes from across Haringey’s diverse communities.
The programme includes:
- Performances from renowned rapper Dun D, poet Kieron Rennie and beatboxer Jasmine Kahlia.
- Local young people performing two new songs produced in collaboration with twice-Grammy-nominated artist Wizzy Wow
- Mental health advocate and rapper Shocka performing a piece with cellist Angel K. Turpov.
- Mind-bending contemporary circus skills from young members of the Jackson’s Lane Youth Circus.
- Immersive performance combining dance, spoken word and music co-ordinated by Bernie Grant Arts Centre.
The event has been co-produced with the local community, with over 2000 residents taking part in 170 workshops ahead of the event to create everything from tablecloths, ceramic bowls and lanterns through to unique performances and soup recipes. Here are a few highlights so far.

Leader of Haringey Council, Cllr Peray Ahmet, and Cabinet Member for Culture, Communities and Leisure, Cllr Emily Arkell: “We’re delighted to see the Haringey Feast arrive at Alexandra Palace this Sunday. This event has been many months in the making, and we’re so excited to join with residents to celebrate our borough’s culture and creativity.
“In Haringey we have ambitious plans to put culture at the centre of everything we do. This event is an important step in bringing Haringey together to showcase our borough’s unique cultural offer.”
London’s Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries, Justine Simons OBE, said: “It’s exciting to see the Haringey Feast take place this Sunday. The festival celebrates the rich and diverse culture from across the borough with a fantastic programme of events led by local creatives for everyone to enjoy. The Mayor and I are proud to support events like these, which bring communities together and help build a better London for everyone.”

Supported by the Mayor of London through the Cultural Impact Award, the Haringey Feast is being delivered by Haringey Council in partnership with the borough’s cultural organisations. Haringey was awarded a Cultural Impact Award as part of The Mayor of London’s London Borough of Culture in 2019 with £200,000 funding for their ambitious project which demonstrated a positive impact on the local communities of the borough.
