Summer 2026 will see our Park play host to a series of outdoor events, that we hope you can join us for!

On 20 June we host the eccentric, brilliant world of the Red Bull Soapbox Race This is followed by our Summer Season of outdoor live music events across two amazing weeks in July.

To host the events there will be temporary changes to the road, park, our car parks, and bus routes. All the information is below.

18-21 June 2026 - Red Bull Soapbox Race

Park access

To facilitate the event, a section of the Park between Go Ape and Alexandra Palace Way will be closed to the public between Thursday 18 June – Sunday 21 June. Diversion walking routes will be in place. See our map for more information.

The remainder of the Park will be open throughout this time as normal.

The W3 bus will be diverted between Thursday 18 June and Sunday 21 June. The 184 bus will be on diversion for one hour between 6-7pm on Saturday 20 June. Check your route before you travel.

Road closure

The section of Alexandra Palace Way from Bedford Road (Ally Pally train station) up to the East Court car park will be closed between Thursday 18 June – Sunday 21 June. See our map for more information.

Station Road and Buckingham Road will be temporary closed for approximately an hour at the end of the event to allow crowds to leave safely. Residents on these roads will be given access as normal.

Car parking

The East Car Park will be closed from Tuesday 16 June – Sunday 21 June. Additionally, all car parks at Alexandra Palace will be closed to the public from Thursday 18 June to Sunday 21 June.

There is no event parking on site at Alexandra Palace so all event attendees will need to use public transport to travel to/from the event.

Limited parking is available for Access ticket/Blue Badge holders in our Grove car park (access via our Muswell Hill entrance only). Blue badge parking for the event is for accessibility ticketholders by prior arrangement only – contact our team for full information via access@alexandrapalace.com

BUS DIVERSION

The W3 will be diverted between Thursday 18 June and Sunday 21 June: W3 diversion route. The 184 bus will be on diversion for one hour between 6-7pm on Saturday 20 June. Check your route before you travel.

July 2026 - Summer Season live gigs

PARK ACCESS

The events will take place on the south slopes of the Park, immediately below the Palace. The space is marked in yellow on our map will be closed from 6 July – 22 July.

The upper south slope of the Park, Alexandra Palace Way, the south terrace and The Terrace area outside the Phoenix Bar – marked in red on the map – will be closed for the events between:

  • Wednesday 8 July to Monday 13 July
  • Wednesday 15 July to Sunday 19 July.

The remainder of the Park will be opened throughout.

ROAD CLOSURE

The section of Alexandra Palace Way directly in front of the Palace will be closed in both directions between:

  • Wednesday 8 July – Monday 13 July
  • Wednesday 15 July – Sunday 19 July

The section of Alexandra Palace Way highlighted in purple on our map will be closed:

  • From 2pm on 9, 10, 12, 16, 17 and 18 July
  • From 10am on 12 July

Station Road and Buckingham Road will be temporary closed on each event day for approximately one hour after the events have finished, to allow crowds to leave safely.

Garden Centre customers will be given access to the Garden Centre car park via our Hornsey Gate entrance.

BUS DIVERSION

The W3 will be on diversion from:

  • Wednesday 8 July – Monday 13 July
  • Wednesday 15 July – Sunday 19 July

W3 diversion route

The 184 bus will run its normal route, with the exception of a temporary suspension to services between 10pm-10.30pm on each event day.

Please check your routes before you travel.

CAR PARKING

If you are a ticket holder coming to a Summer Season event: there is no event parking on site at Alexandra Palace so all event attendees will need to use public transport to travel to/from the event.

Our East Court car park will be closed from the below times, reopening the following morning. Cars must be moved out of the car park before the closure time:

  • From 4pm on 9, 10, 12, 16, 17 & 18 July
  • From 11am on 11 July
